- The Convergence of Dreamland & Reality
“…I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and Iā
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.” – The Road Not Taken, Robert FrostToday, I began to think of all the things in the world that make sense and those things that do not. Most of my thought processes have been derived directly from Alice in Wonderland, the film, just because it brought back memories of quoting Through the Looking Glass by the pseudo-anonymous Lewis Carroll (also known as, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson).
The funny part was that I never realized until really watching it play out from my imagination that Alice was on to something absolutely extraordinary. Your dreamland CAN be your reality. Anything that you dream up can be possible so long as you put your mind to it. There are times that I wish that dreamland and reality would intertwine themselves so that one day I could live out the dreams that are inside my head.
Right now, I have several dreams, all of which are in motion. For those of you that know me, adventure is seemingly my middle name. I love new adventure and discovering new things. I love living life to the fullest. I hate being pinned down and settled to one thing ā even if my age is the reason for it. (Although, I don’t believe you ever grow out of being adventurous, so long as your personality allows for it.)
The issues that I’m having now are stemmed directly from my need for exploration. I yearn to explore other places and other things. I would love to have nothing but a pen and paper and just write all day about the experiences I’ve had sojourning around the world. I would love to dream up 6 impossible things before breakfast and make them ALL a reality before bedtime.
I am an adventurer and a lover of life. I hold at my bequest the power to make or change anything within my life and that determination and will can see me through. I am the one who sets my own path and in the end, I will come to. I want what dreamland holds in store of me… and now ā yes, now ā I will allow reality and dreamland to converge. They will become intertwined just as lovers on a rainy day. I will allow the two foreign concepts to marry and then I will see true happiness.
