“Respect is love in plain clothes.” – Frankie Byrne
I love a lot of things. I love to sit outside and read a book with a blanket during the springtime or the autumn months, right before it turns bone chilling cold; I love water, beyond anything you can imagine; but most of all, I love you. I can only say that I love you because you mean the world to me. Yes, you. Even you whom I’ve never seen, met or talked to. I love you.
I respect a lot of people. I translate respect into love. It’s one in the same, you could say. I have this annoying habit of going through drive-thrus and paying for people’s food behind me. The sense of gratification I get from watching the people is amazing and this euphoria that just makes me feel like everything is wonderful. While on the outside I’m a realist, on the inside, I want everyone to be happy. I try to make people happy and I love to see people smile.
I once said that if I had all of the money in the world, I would give it away. I would give it to people who needed it most. I would foster children and given them the best upbringing possible. I would love them, care for them, and show them what it meant to love. As I sit and think about all of the things I have done, I never once have regretted paying for someone else’s food when I didn’t have the money. The fact that I did something for that one person meant everything to me and that’s all that mattered.
The funniest part is after I did that one simple act of kindness, everyone that day seemed to be paying it forward. You never know when you’ll find your plain clothed lover. Who knows? Maybe it will be me one day.
